Sports Injury Clinic

The Gen Health Sports Injury Clinic provides priority access to a Senior Physiotherapist for acute sports injuries sustained on game day. Early assessment and management help you recover faster and get back to sport safely.

The Clinic is available on Mondays during the Winter Sports season 3.30-5.30pm (first clinic date is Monday 13th April 2026).

What to expect:

  • Full injury assessment and immediate management plan

  • Strapping, padding, or short-term care advice if needed

  • Referrals for scans or ongoing physiotherapy/podiatry care

  • Early intervention to support recovery and reduce downtime

Please note: clubs were contacted during pre-season and provided with posters and QR codes to share with players for easy access on game day to the form. A copy of the poster can be downloaded for printing here.

1. What is the Sports Injury Clinic?
The clinic provides priority access to a Senior Physiotherapist for acute sports injuries sustained on Game Day. We focus on early assessment and management to help you recover safely and get back to sport quickly.

2. Who can attend the clinic?
The Sports Injury Clinic is designed to support players who are injured during weekend games in the Winter Sport Season. The clinic is not for ongoing or chronic injuries — we will refer you to the appropriate physiotherapist or podiatrist for ongoing care

3: What if a player is injured during a training session?
If a player is injured during weekly training, please do not wait for the Sports Injury Clinic. Call the clinic directly on 03 55 719 923 for advice and to discuss the best next steps.

4. When does the clinic run?
The Sports Injury Clinic runs on Mondays from 3:30–5:30pm during the Winter Sport season. (starting Monday 13th April 2026)

5. How do I book an appointment?
Scan the QR code on the poster/business card supplied by your club and complete the form as soon as possible after your injury. Or follow this link. Appointments are limited, and priority is based on submission time and injury severity.

6. When will I know my appointment time?
All submissions are reviewed and confirmed on Monday morning. Please ensure you are available between 3:30–5:30pm, as appointment times are fixed.

7. What happens at the appointment?
You’ll receive:

  • A full assessment of your injury

  • Immediate management (strapping, padding, or short-term care advice)

  • Referrals for scans or ongoing physiotherapy/podiatry care if needed

  • A clear plan to support recovery and reduce downtime

8. Is there a cost?

Appointment fee: $80

Approx. appointment time: 20 minutes

9. Can my whole team attend?
The clinic is for individual acute injuries, but we encourage clubs to display posters and share information and triage form link with all players so they know how to access care quickly.
